Book One of the SBG series
Wraith (Sandra Walsh) and Casper Grady’s book has undergone multiple drafts and versions. Along the way a few songs have inspired me and/or captured the mood perfectly. Parental Advisory: Explicit Content. Songs below could contain language, violence and adult situations.
1. You Me At Six – “Room To Breathe”
I love this song. The lyrics are awesome and really fit in with Wraith and Grady’s journey to trust each other and fall in love while overcoming the forces trying to keep them apart (I know that’s a very generic description, but I don’t want to give anything away!).
2. A Great Big World featuring Christina Aguilera – “Say Something”
I don’t want to say too much but this song really spoke to me as I had to write some harder scenes between the hero and heroine.
3. Redlight King – “Comeback”
This heavier hitting song has an awesome message about overcoming adversity and fighting back–inspiration for my heroine
4. Genesis – “Just A Job To Do”
This is a fun song to add on to the list. Ultimate sniper/assassin song that I thought appropriate given Wraith’s specialty and Delta Squad’s lethal reputation. I couldn’t find an actual video. This was the best I could do, but it’s worth a listen if you don’t already know the song.
5. Placebo – “Running Up that Hill”
If I this book/series is ever made into a movie or TV show, I want this song played during a montage of scenes advertising it. I’d also want it worked into the movie/show somehow. It’s just a cool song.
